Descubrimos un restaurante estilo medieval al lado de casa. Es como una tabernilla de 6 mesas regentada por dos tipos alemanes, altos y barrigudos. Uno de ellos incluso habla un poco de español después de haber vivido por un tiempo en Barcelona. ¡Quisimos probarlo!
We discovered a medieval restaurant next our home. It’s a tavern of 6 tables managed for two German, tall and belly men. Also one of them can talk Spanish quite good after living for some years in Barcelona.
Cómo en todas las mesas medievales se brindaba con un buen vino Don Simón en botella de plástico y cuernos de pega. Estos son los comensales de esta noche.
As in all medieval tables we cheers with a good Don Simón wine in plastic bottles and fake hongs. These were the dinners this night.
Una vez hecha la difícil elección del menú, había unas 20 hamburguesas con precios comprendidos entre los 20 y los 60 €, curiosamente todos escogimos la CheeseBurguer de 20€. Nos disponíamos alegremente a meternos en el cuerpo cerca de 3 kg de hamburguesa.
Alter taking the difficult food choice, there were about 20 hamburgers with prices between 20 and 60 €, surprisingly all of we chose the Cheese Burger of 20€. We were going to feed us with 3 kg of hamburger.
José y Leo, unas de las personas que más comen en toda la isla, se disponían a medir sus estómagos frente a la hamburguesa más grande del país. El restaurante aseguraba que si te la comías entera en menos de una hora te regalaban la hamburguesa. Os prometo que no hay photoshop, realmente las hamburguesas eran así de grandes.
José and Leo are the people that eat more amount of food of the island. They were going to deal their stomachs with the biggest hamburger of the country. The restaurant promises that if you finish the hamburger in less than one hour it was free. I swear there’s any photoshop manipulation; burgers really were that big.
A las patatas invita la casa y adelante con la competición. Yo no estaba dispuesto a comerme 3 kg de comida de golpe así que compartí la hamburguesa con otras dos personas, aún así fue duro terminar poco más de 1/3 de este monstruo. Leo antes de comer la mitad se retiró de la competición. Dijo: de acuerdo, la voy a pagar pero no quiero encontrarme mal esta noche.
The restaurant invited to the potatoes and the competition stats. I was not going to eat 3 kg of food in one meal. I share it with two more people, although it was hard to finish quite more than 1/3 of this monster. Leo retired alter eating half of it. He said: ok, I will pay for it but I don’t want to feel sick this night.
José se resistía a abandonar, el orgullo leonés y su reputación estaban en juego. Pero cuando ya había comido toda la carne y sólo quedaba en el plato ¼ de pan y ensalada tubo que aceptar que, por esta vez, no había ganado. No pudo terminarse la hamburguesa.
José didn’t want to retire; the León proud and his reputation were in bet. But after eating all the meat and had left in the dish just a ¼ of salad and bread, he had to accept that just for this time he couldn’t win. He couldn’t finish the hamburger.
Derrotado se levantó, con el cuerpo quebrado por el estomago y con la inclinación típica de un anciano. Pero hay que decir que el dueño estaba realmente sorprendido y, tratando de llenarlo antes de terminar la hamburguesa, nos trajo más patatas. Él mismo confesó que la próxima vez que vea entrar a José por la puerta se va a “ACOJONAR”. Jejejej, que gran historia.
He got up as loser. With his body broken by the stomach was tilted like an old man. But I have to say that the owner of the restaurant was really surprised and, trying to over-feed him before finishing the hamburger, he brought more potatoes. The owner confessed that the next time that he saw José entering thought the door he will SCARE him. Jejeje, what a good story.
Saltó de las rocas al suelo y salió corriendo montaña arriba para salvar su dedo. Este fue el resultado: dos dislocaciones y una rotura. El dedo estaba cómo una zeta.
